Toy Review: Popular Character Squishy Mashems and Fashems

This was a huge show! I stumbled upon an amazingly large amount of mash'ems and fash'ems at Target. I could never find these things - like ever. As I strolled with my empty cart to the grocery section, I found a cache of these coveted capsules hidden near the strollers! It was meant to be! I scooped them up like a hungry bird over a fish fulled lake. In my heart I knew that some very sad kid stowed these away after his or her mom said "NO!" to buying that many. Good thing my mom wasn't around, because she probably would have thought I was nuts!

I got my groceries, paid, and went home to marvel at my find!! I immediately got to it, started filming, and quickly realized that I had NO IDEA what these fash'ems and mash'ems were, especially the Littlest Pet Shop ones. I had some trouble with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and the Finding Dory, of course.

Anyway, the mash'ems and fash'ems do not come with any kind of checklist. You really have to be a diehard fan to know who you are getting. I found that a bit frustrated. The price tag at $2.99 retail, is a bit pricey for me, however, I could not resist based on its scarcity in the stores. I scored once on Hollar with a few My Little Pony fash'ems at about $2 per capsule, and I had a 25% off coupon plus free shipping. Sick deal!

Anyway, each capsule includes one figure based off the theme of the capsule. The figure is a rubbery, squishy, water-filled character that kids love to squish! Think of it as a very tiny stress ball. As a late 80's and 90's kid, I don't recall tiny toys like this. If there were toys like, we couldn't afford to buy them. I am jealous! Haha!

What do you think of the mash'ems and fash'ems?

Cheers!
