New York Toy Fair 2018 did not disappoint! Day one for me was a whirlwind of new toys, meeting new friends, and having fun! I was so fortunate to tour the Jakks Pacific booth, not only do they manufacture and create the cutest Disney Tsum Tsum lines that we adore and love, their other lines are amazing as well! In addition to Fancy Nancy, Princess lines, and the new The Incredibles 2 toys, Jakks has teamed up with Warner Brothers to create toys for Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts!
Channel your inner witch and wizard and learn the ways of Hogwarts! Choose from Harry's wand, Dumbledore's wand, or practice the dark arts on Lord Voldemort's wand! Learn 11 different spells with the help of active motion sensors that track your movement with the correct flicks and pops of your hand and wrist! You can also learn five of Dumbledore's army training spells!!! There are five different play modes where you can learn and play alone or play with a friend who has a wand, too! I asked my helpful Jakks tour guide if the wands interact with one another, and she said that they did! For $24.99 each wand, the pricing is on point! They are made of sturdy plastic, have real looking wood grains, and light up at the tip and at the handle! Harry's toy wand looks like it was spawned from elder wood and ready to take on the death eaters!
For the toy collector, now you can hold the power of your Harry Potter character in the palms of your hands! As if you were at Ollivander's get chosen by your wand, and each mystery blind box contains the powerful wand of your favorite Harry Potter characters! Blind mystery boxes include one 4-inch tall die-cast replica wand! There are 12 replica wands to collect: Ron Weasley, Hermoine Granger, Harry Potter, Albus Dumbledore, and more! The Harry Potter blind boxes are $4.99 each, and each comes with a stand to display your prized wand.
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is my favorite movie (I haven't read the book yet! Mom problems over here!), so I am super excited that the sequel will be out soon! One of my favorite characters is Niffler, he is so cute! I love when he spits out all of his shiny finds! Now have your very own Niffler in a two-player game format called the The Niffler Challenge Game! The object of the game is to be the first player fill up mischcheivious and cute Niffler with his shiny treasures, and spill the jewels and coins onto the cases. The game includes Niffler that moves on his own base, two wands, 64 coins, and other treasures! The game will be released fall 2018 at $19.99.
