Today we have Mavis! And we have Mavis! And another Mavis! It’s a Mavis-palooza, everyone! From the movie franchise of Hotel Transylvania, we have Mavis Bats Out, Monster Cruise Mavis, and Spooktacular Bride Mavis made by Jazwares.
Mavis Bats Out is a poseable collectible doll that transforms from night to, uh, night! Mavis has removable bat wings and a removable bat headband, and she transforms into her old self. Mavis Bats Out comes with a cool pair of red high top sneakers, her headband, and her bat cape. Her knit stockings are the perfect pairing to her all over black sheath dress. The stockings do not hinder her articulation at all, and she is fully articulated. Get her for $17.99 on Amazon.
Monster Cruise Mavis is from the new Hotel Transylvania 3 movie, and she is wearing an eggplant tulip dress with beautiful tropical appliqué flowers on the dress. The details for this outfit are subtle and sweet. Mavis comes fully decked out in tropical flower headband, and adorable red wedges. Unfortunately, the wedges do not stay on well, so when you pose her the shoes fall off. Get Monster Cruise Mavis for $12.99 on Amazon - a steal if you ask me!
Finally, my favorite - all-time favorite specialty doll - Spooktacular Bride Mavis is a stunning recreation of this gothic bride from Hotel Transylvania 2. When Mavis walked down the aisle when she married Johnny in part two, it was such a tender moment. The dress was stunning in the movie, and it will take your breath away in person, too. Mavis is wearing a trumpet style gown with all over black details, and a fishtail train. From top to bottom, Mavis is a beautiful bride. The bodice is form fitting with a lace, intricately detailed neckline. She also has a red rose choker and matching short gloves with finger holes. This doll is just amazing! Mavis comes with a beautiful, and sparkly white tiara - the only thing white for this bride! She also has awesome black high top sneakers to finish her look. No bride should be without flowers, and Mavis carries a bouquet of purple roses with a black bow detail to hold it all together. Another nice touch was the addition of Mavis and Johnny’s invitation. The bouquet is very floppy, and I feel instead of a rubbery bouquet, it would have been better to have a hard plastic bouquet. The bouquet included does not stay inside of her hands and just plops down. Get her for $17.99 for an eye-popping deal on Amazon! Be careful when bending and stretching and posing her, this beautiful gown is form fitting and will hinder articulation.
Overall, all three dolls are fully articulated, and would be great for play and for display! If I had to choose one of the three, I would definitely choose Spook-tacular Bride Mavis! She was my favorite doll from New York Toy Fair, and I am so happy to finally have her in my possession! The Mavis dolls all have beautiful paint, fine details, and are tightly jointed dolls. Some of the accessories will leave you wanting for more, but let’s hope this first run they’ll take note of what people are saying, and add in more for future doll releases.

I totally loved this blog and video. The Mavis dolls are spot on. I really want the first one with batwings. Hotel Transylvania 1&2 are twe of my favorite movies and I can't wait to see the third movie.
