New York Toy Fair 2019 Mattel Showroom - Sneak Peek of New Toy Story 4 Toys - Action Figures, Modular Sets, Imaginext Toys, Poseable Dolls and more!

Well, here we are … Mattel. I have been wanting to see what’s behind those glass doors of the Mattel booth since I started working in this industry in 2011. I have always admired it from afar, and I was so honored to have been invited to a blogger breakfast and see what’s new for Mattel in 2019. There are loads of new products and licenses coming out for Mattel, Hot Wheels, and Fisher-Price, but this video is just dedicated to my beloved Toy Story toys! Please do check our our YouTube channel for the latest coverage of New York Toy Fair videos. I had over 55 appointments that weekend, so I am rolling out videos very carefully...and slowly.

Poseable Slinky Dog with slinky body!

Let’s begin with the basic, poseable figures that feature a wide array of characters from Toy Story 4 to collect like everyone seen here Buzz, Woody, Jessie, Rex, Forky, and more. Notice that Bo has a removable cape, and Slinky’s “spring” actually can be posed and pushed together to create that iconic “slinky” dog walk. These figures are totally poseable enough to recreate your favorite scenes or make assumptions of what is to come in the new movie. Each figure will be $9.99 each, and I am unsure if some will be paired together like Ducky and Bunny, for example. We will see when they are on the shelves in Spring 2019, April.

Next, we have Toy Story Imaginext Buzz Lightyear Buzz Bot for $49.99, you get two figures, Buzz Lightyear and Alien (Alien is hiding in Buzz’s left shoe). This Buzz Lightyear inspired bot acts as a space station, launch pad, and play set. There is a Command Center to contact Star Command in his chest and can be activated by opening the power pad, it’s also equipped with computer monitors and platforms. There is a claw-like hand on his left arm to pick up figures that can be placed in the cargo holding area in his left foot. There is a projectile launcher that will hold for additional projectiles for easy reloading. Open and close wings activated by a twist of the platform. Buzz can also man the Bot by climbing the helmet control center. The Bot’s torso also twists at a 45-degree angle for more elements of play. This is a must have set for us so I will be waiting patiently for it to come out this Spring 2019.

Get a look at workout Barbie, she looks just like the original with her perfect bangs and shiny workout suit. The only thing that’s different is her sneakers, they actually have an arch! Workout Barbie will wear her 80’s workout outfit, and will have 11 joints to really test the waters of an 80’s aerobics class; Barbie is fully poseable at the neck, shoulders, wrists, arms, knees, hips, and knees. For just $15.99, you’ll be able to recreate fun scenes from Toy Story 3, and now Toy Story 4 in Spring 2019. Let’s check out the new Bo doll, and I cannot help but notice her amazing action pose, and this curious bandage around her arm. She must have seen some battles out in the real world. I must have Bo, I foresee this Bo Peep doll to be the hottest doll to get from this line with her amazing 14 points of articulation, with that articulation you will be able to pose Bo in ninja-like poses! The name of the doll, Epic Moves Bo Peep Action Doll, gives some detail with how strong Bo had gotten after separating from the gang. That name alone tells me that Bo must have learned some crazy power poses! Bo Peep also comes with her signature Bo Beep outfit, and a comb to keep those locks on point. Epic Moves Bo Peep Action Doll will be $24.99 and will be released this Spring 2019.

I am in love with all of the mini figures coming out in each of the blind bags this spring. For just $3.49 each, you can find one of many little miniature figures that are cute, tiny versions of the cute, adorable characters. I am so happy to see really no changes in designs from previous Toy Story series, and I am so curious as to who these mystery characters will be! Forky is so stinkin’ cute! There are so many theories about him - do you think Forky is bad? Either way, this collection is just so adorable, and I sincerely hope to collect them all! They will be out this Spring 2019 as well.

Buzz Lightyear's Star Command play set is full of play time fun with it's totally modular elements of play. You can separate the hub creating a vehicle, it also comes with a rover and a glow in the dark Buzz Lightyear action figure. I love that the Buzz Lightyear figure that is included glows in the dark just like the original Buzz Lightyear figure that was released for part one. This set comes equipped with an additional vehicle, and it even breaks apart to create another vehicle. There is an open and close roof for each play and story reenactment. At $79.99 and for ages three and up, I envision many missions from Star Command. This set will be out later this year Fall 2019, which will give us plenty of time to master falling with style.

Take your playtime to the next level with the Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Armor with Jetpack. With open and close helmet, you can activate lights and sounds with each move you make - be it staying out of sight from Zurg or fighting an intergalactic battle, this set will be sure to please any Space Ranger in training. I love that you can press the side button to close the visor of the helmet. Become your favorite Space Ranger in real life for ages four and up, and for $49.99, available this Spring 2019.

Also for some cosplay, we have Bo Peep Action Staff with real sheep sounds from her flock, Billy, Goat, and Gruff! I honestly thought the staff was just a prop at the show, but when I picked it up I noticed that it had a battery compartment, and then it baaed at me! With some fancy Bo Peep style action moves, you can swipe and hear the sheep calling for Bo Peep. You can get this cool staff in Spring 2019 for $19.99.

Race your favorite Toy Story characters down arched ramps, speed down open roads, or just collect the whole gang in this merry assortment of character cars. Featuring characters, old and new, from Disney Pixar’s Toy Story 4, seek out adventure in these cool, stylized character shaped cars. On display were Woody, Buzz, and Alien. Also available in cars form will be new characters Ducky and Bunny, Forky, and Rex, and if you take a quick sneak peek at what the back of the card, because these may be the other vehicles slated to come out like Bo Beep. On the backing card, you can see a silhouette of the characters - it seems Woody is chasing Forky, which is kind of curious, we also see another potential character, Duke Kaboom, and this doll over here next to Buzz. Now, these backing cards can be incorrect, so you’ll have to be surprised as to who else will be out in this collection when it hits stores Spring 2019, for ages three and up, and just $3.99.

Let me know what you think of all of the cool, new Toy Story 4 toys coming out this April and August 2019. It’s going to be a great year for Disney Pixar, and for us toy collectors! Kids are going to have so much fun pretending and reenacting all of the scenes from Toy Story 4. Be sure to like our video and subscribe to our channel. Stay with us for future New York Toy Fair videos!
