We’re in the thick of spring, and summer is coming in hot! Becca’s Bunch, the band of merry forest friends from Wagtail Woods have a fun activity for their fans to welcome in spring and summer! Show them how green your thumbs are with the fun, new activity provided by Becca's Bunch! You and your little one can start your own Becca’s Bunch inspired garden with this cute printable! There’s a great big world out there to explore, and Becca and her bunch want to share how to create your own little world by planting flowers and vegetables. I just wrote a post about fun ways of teaching kids the importance of biodiversity, so this is a great way to facilitate that task. If you're interested in learning more, and some toys suggestions, be sure to check out my previous blog post!
I told Marcello that he now has a green thumb, and he thought he was turning into The Hulk. |
Check out the fun printable, and create your own garden just like Becca's Bunch buddies friends Becca, Pedro, Sylvia, and Russell! Becca's Bunch is a show that we watch on Nick Jr, and it follows the adventures of four friends navigating their hometown of Wagtail Woods. Becca and her bunch are always on the hunt for new and exciting adventures throughout Wagtail Woods. Wagtail Woods is alive with greenery and flowers, so why not bring a little bit of Becca’s Bunch in your garden? We started our mini garden indoors, and once we start seeing some buds, we will move it outside. Make sure you subscribe to our YouTube channel and ring the notification bell to get notified when we post our fun first planting video! You can also follow us on social media to follow along on our baby sprouts' adventures! We are @TubeyToys on Instagram and Facebook, and @Tubey_Toys on Twitter. We are also on PopJam, which is a kid-friendly app as TubeyToysReview!
Before you begin this fun activity make sure you have all of the supplies needed. The printable provides easy to follow directions so your child can even complete this activity with little guidance.
You will need potting soil, paper cups, popsicle sticks, glue, safety scissors, and seeds. Plant Sweet Peas for sweet Becca, plant Forget Me Nots for Pedro who happens to be similar in color, resourceful Sylvia must have sunflowers, and Russell gets beautiful orange and gold marigolds. Children will love this activity as it gives them some independence - let them get a bit messy, the soil is easy to clean up! Remember, a little dirt won't hurt. Plus it will test their patience as they really have to wait and watch their plants grow!
Watch Becca’s Bunch on YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram (@Beccas_Bunch)! Be sure to share and tag Becca’s Bunch with your gardening skills or any other fan art that your little one has created! Becca’s Bunch airs on Nick Jr. globally and on CBC Kids in Canada. You can also watch Becca’s Bunch on the Nick Jr. app and the official Becca’s Bunch YouTube channel.
We had such a fun time with this activity! We cannot wait to transfer our little sprouts outside, so they can have their own adventure in the sunshine. Thank you so much Becca’s Bunch for sharing this activity with us and other Becca’s Bunch fans!
Happy planting, everyone!
