Apple Bombs Recipe
This recipe is easy and totally fun to make! Try it with your kids as there is really nothing to it. Plus, this recipe got my very picky eater child to actually eat fruit!
1 TSP Cinnadust
2 Eggs
Apple Bombs
3 Red Apples (GALA or MAC) skin removed, diced
2 Crescent Roll (makes eight Apple Bombs)
2 TBSP butter
3 TBSP CINNADUST
In a large bowl, toss together apples and Cinnadust. Spray your muffin tin with baking spray.
Take the crescent roll and combine the triangles to create a rectangle (meaning don’t rip that perforation!). Form a shell in the muffin tin.
Pour apples and CINNADUST mixture into each section. Divide the 2 TSBP of butter into slices for each apple bomb. Close up shop, and pinch closed your pastry shell. Give it a little twist at the top to mimic a fuse! Next, combine CINNDADUST and egg to create an egg wash. If you wish, please save the leftover wash for the next recipe, CINNADUST French Toast! Paint those bombs with the seasoned egg for a sugary sheen.
Pop in the oven for 325 for 17 minutes. Keep watching them! Remove with a spoon and scoop from the bottom. If the bottom of the Apple Bomb looks a bit gooey, pop it back in the oven for five extra minutes. Allow time to cool before serving. Serve alone or with a dollop of cool whip! Be fancy and sprinkle some of that magical and yummy CINNADUST on your whipped topping! Be fancy! Be fun!
