Shopping Trends to Look Out for this Amazon Prime Day 

Summer is finally here in the states and many kids are finally out of school or done with remote learning. My son did a whole school year from home, so I will be looking for outdoor toy deals as well as crafts, and items that we need for our Walt Disney World vacation this fall.

Both of my kids have been home since March 2020, where playdates were few and far between. As a parent, I had to come up with a lot of different ways to keep the kids busy. That includes STEM toys, crafts, toys, games, and movies. Overall, consumers, especially ones with kids, used this opportunity to explore different avenues of play. Educational toys saw a huge increase this year due to COVID-19 restrictions, as well as Fidget Toys and sensory toys.

Many American consumers took the stay-at-home orders as a business opportunity and have started their own businesses. Craft supplies saw a huge jump in 2021 skyrocketing many small businesses who are using platforms like Amazon Live to share their tools and their designs. 

Adults who worked from home in 2020 and most of 2021 used this time to jump back into gaming. Gaming accessories, consoles, and games themselves increased in sales where many products were already sold out during the holiday season.
