New Toy Reveal! LEGO® Super Mario™ + LEGO® Luigi™ 2-Player LEGO Action! LEGO Announces Bowser's Castle Build, More Sets, Power-Up Pack, Series 3 Super Mario Mystery Packs

Last year, LEGO Super Mario jumped into our LEGO worlds and our pixelated hearts with a starter course and bunches of interactive LEGO Super Mario maps to collect coins, bounce on baddies, and finally beat Bowser with a whomp and a jump. Now, his fraternal twin brother Luigi on the map with his own starter course and maps!

For the first time ever, Super Mario and Luigi are teaming up in a collaborative 2-player effort where kids, LEGO enthusiasts, and Nintendo OG gamers will get to team up or go against one another to beat the clock through their own courses. They can work together in sync while collecting extra coins, flipping, jumping, and working together to fight enemies like goombas, turtles, and even Bowser. You can even pair up the same characters to create an interesting and silly gameplay experience. Check out the fun video that LEGO Group and Nintendo posted!

Now, if this announcement were not enough, we now have more sets to add to this exciting line up including Bowser's Airship! Bowser's Airship is the iconic vessel that can fly above the clouds and spit out Bullet Bills like it was the wild west. This iconic piece of Super Mario gaming nostalgia is definitely not one to miss. Bowser's Airship has two play modes - one is in "flying" mode or you can choose to break it down to "course mode."

Overall, LEGO Super Mario and LEGO Luigi provided open-ended play for kids, where the possibilities are endless for epic map builds that can be touched, manipulated, and even destroyed (by my toddler son -- my poor seven-year-old).

Keep in mind, you don't need to have both LEGO Super Mario or Luigi to enjoy all of the fun. As long as you have the figure and the starter pack, you're golden.
