Know Before You Go! Disney On Ice Mickey's Search Party On a Budget!

Disney On Ice Mickey's Search Party is visiting two New York-areas venues! We were hosted by Disney On Ice and Feld Entertainment for the first night's performance at Prudential Center and it was so much fun! We really, really had the best evening, and I urge you to check out my full review. It was a wonderful evening full of Disney magic and lots of great character surprises! All opinions are my own!

There's nothing better than seeing your favorite Disney and Pixar characters, but add a little more fun to have a bonafide party in your seats!

Know Before You Go: Souvenir Options at the Venue 

Back in the early 1990s, I saw the Disney On Ice: Beauty and the Beast show, and I remember seeing the other kids in the audience with beautiful rose lights and a flashing beast light up toy. My little sister and I begged for these toys! We got them after many minutes of begging. I still have my light up some where! 

Here are some of the Disney On Ice merchandise options. You can purchase light up wands, souvenir cups, shirts, and even purchase special souvenir photos!

Disney On Ice has three different souvenir photo packages to choose from, and they are located outside of seating section. I noticed two themes: The Little Mermaid and Coco. It is a scene either with a three-dimensial statue or a cut out of a character. 

Gold Package $35

• (2) two 6x8 photos
• Digital Download

Silver Package $25

• (1) one deluxe frame
• (2) two 6x8 photos

Bronze Package $20

• photo print with envelope

You can buy fun light up toys like swords, snowflake wands, and Mickey head wands to wave during the show. They range in prices from $30 to $35.

There are also souvenir t-shirts, plush toys, dolls, and jewelry available to purchase!

I love souvenir cups! I still have my Chip souvenir tea cup from Disney On Ice: Beauty and the Beast from back in the day! The souvenir cups are the best bang for your buck, because you can purchase them with or without the yummy flavored shaved ice. Plus, you can continue to use these cups long after the show. I am living proof: almost 30 years later!

Bring Your Own Light-Ups!

You don't have to break the bank in providing a little extra magic in your seat while watching the show. Here are some tips that I even participated in, because we are on a really tight budget. We're going to Walt Disney World after Thanksgiving, so saving money is on the top of my list right now! Stay tuned for my WDW 50th Anniversary review!

I scrambled the day of the show for some glow sticks for my kiddos, because it's so easy to get sucked in and buy every single light up toy. Here are a couple of ideas of things I managed to muster up the day of the performance. You will have to order these in items in advance. You can also purchase off brand items outside of the venue. Or just buy real Disney-licensed merchandise.

The toys below are also great to hold on to for Disney vacations! I always bring my own bubble blowers with me for the kids, and they are happy and none the wise.

If you leave near a dollar store like Dollar Tree or Dollar General, you can find glow sticks for a buck! Glow sticks are easy, low-cost options to add a little pizazz to your view of the show. 

Bags at Prudential Center

There were signs saying that no handbags are allowed. Thankfully I brought a backpack with my kids' essentials, so please keep that in mind! They were enforcing it when we went in, and you were allowed a handbag if you had kid's items inside. I do not understand why they are enforcing this rule as it makes zero sense. 

Also, bring snacks for your kids, don't be afraid to do that! If kids are happy with their snacks, then there is more money for the parents to buy what they want like ice cream and beer!

Parking at Prudential Center

You can pre-pay parking for Prudential Center on their website using the service ParkMobile. The lot for the pre-paid parking is right across the street from the venue (Parking Deck Presented by Ford). It is also covered parking garage in case it rains! 

We just took the chance and opted to find to parking when we arrived. There was an outdoor lot directly across the entrance from area. We paid $25, and it was totally convenient and easy to park and go. You can pay either with cash or credit card. Upon entry, we went through security and up the escalator. The entrance leads you to section 10-11. 

Barclays Center Tips to Know Before You Go!

Disney On Ice Mickey's Search Party will continue the fun at Barclays Center November 10 -14, 2021 in Brooklyn, New York! You can use promo code code EMDS2X to save 20% on select sections. Keep in mind, NYC public schools will be closed to honor Veteran's Day on November 11, so there will be two shows that day! You can also opt to purchase tickets for November 10, and make it a late night with the kids. Barclays Center also observes COVID-19 guidelines where social distancing rules still apply. Check out Barclays Center's safety protocols here. 

If you're driving to Barclays Center, on-site parking at Barclays Center fill up fast, so get to know the parking sites in advance.

Easy Dining Options

Eating at Barclays Center is easy, here are a bunch of food options to peruse before you go. There is a 15 minute intermission allowing for enough time to pick up some food for you and the kids. Note your seat section and the food kiosk section so you know exactly where and what to get beforehand.
