New Video Game Reveal! Nintendo Switch Sports Release Date Announced April 29, 2022 Exclusive Pre-Order With Walmart

Get ready to turn your living room into a bonafide sports arena! Nintendo Switch Sports will be released April 29, 2022, and is available as a digital download or the physical version that comes with a leg strap. 

Launching April 29, 2022, Nintendo Switch Sports will launch with six games Badminton, Soccer, Bowling, Volleyball, and Chambara. You can play against players at home or up your game and go worldwide with players around the world! Create your avator in Spocco Square to personalize your experience. You can also play and rank your performance to earn in-game rewards. Nintendo Switch Sports is going to be a totally different gaming experience from previous Sports titles on previous Nintendo consoles, so we are all in for a real treat!

Nintendo Switch Sports launches with six games, and a seventh game, Golf, is slated to release this fall. 

Badminton features a classic match game with a chill volley back and forth. Soccer requires you to use the leg strap while you’re in kick mode, but while in game mode, you have to use the joycons to navigate the game. Keep in mind, if you already have Ring Fit, you can use the leg strap that was included in that game. 

Money Saving Tip!

If you do not need an extra leg strap, and already have the Ring Fit, then consider getting the digital download to save a couple of bucks. You can use the Ring Fit leg strap for single player. You will need another leg strap in the future when more updates to the game come out. Right now, only Soccer requires the use of the leg strap. You also can even earn up to 200 My Nintendo Gold Points when buying the digital version. You can put your points toward your next eligible digital game or DLC! 

Bowling features the classic way to play, but to spice things up you can add different obstacles to make the game more fun. Volleyball requires learned movements to battle against other players. Chambara is a sword fighting game, and features an American Gladiators-style way to win, where you have to try knock off your opponent off of the pedestal. That looks like a lot of fun, and will help me channel my inner galactic warrior.

There is also a Pro mode that gives players the opportunity to earn different items and rewards when logging on at specific times. This is a smart way for completists like me where I will want to deck out my Mii to the nines! You can also use your Nintendo Mii or create an Animal Crossing style anime style Mii that have more detailed triangular features.

Take aways, and Why I Can't Wait to Play!

I like that Nintendo Switch Sports is a video game that gets you moving. I really loved the Wii because of that, and I thoroughly enjoyed Wii Sports and Wii Fit because of the physical requirements to play.

I love that there are so many options to purchase the game. I would prefer the physical game, because I want another leg strap. We download all of our games, but Nintendo Switch Sports is a game that we all will play together, so having the physical edition is for us.

I was at first bummed about the small amount of sports to be released. However, this is why is Nintendo Switch is so awesome, the games are always updating and improving, so I am pretty confidant they are going to blow us away these next couple of updates.
